Being a tech/IT guy, it is always amusing the way computers are portrayed in movies. Although a few try and be true to the way computers actually are, they rarely get it anywhere close to right.

Most are super powerful, with interfaces that just seem to morph into whatever the user currently needs. I also love how you can beat any security just by simply typing “OVERRIDE”. I think my favorite was:
You may bypass “PERMISSION DENIED” message by using the “OVERRIDE” function.

its funny to see how it’s portrayed in movies.

Why don’t they just make an “OVERRIDE” key on the keyboard? Or better yet, a giant red button on top of the monitor

back to the 80’s, what you called as personal computer was a massive room-size circuit that doing some math.. and it all change within 2 decades,
gee.. wonder what happen in the next 2 decades..
