It’s offical, Google will buys DoubleClick for the tiny sum of 3.1 billion. This will expand their advertising control and offerings by alot, as well as shutting out Yahoo and Microsoft from getting it.

DoubleClick is known from some of the most annying and intrusive ads on the internet. It will be interesting to see if Google changes their business model to follow Googles less intrusive advertising and stick to their ‘Do Not Evil’ mandate. Or possibly, Google has gotten to big and must no change it to Do ‘Not Be To Evil’. Either way, if Microsoft or Yahoo don’t do something soon, Google will own advertising on the internet.
