I really enjoy eating out but it does tend to get pretty expensive so these ideas will come in handy the next time I go out. Sorry I don’t have a tip of my own to offer, but I’ll be sure to tip my waiter.

If you have kids, checking places out that offer kids eat free nights, or allow children under a certain age to eat free is a good idea as well. We go to this buffet in town called Sweet Tomatoes (also called Souplantation) that allows kids 2 and under to eat free. Perfect, considering our 2 year old is quite picky and barely eats, so I don’t feel so horrible that I paid an arm and a leg for something he didn’t even eat.

Great tips! My wife and I have used some of them. For example, Applebee’s have great appetizers at low prices during their happy hour. We also have brought our own wine before. It saves a lot of money! I have no shame when it comes to saving a buck.

Eating out is very nice once in a while, the problem being that nice places are hard to find. Living in a rural community, with several fast food chains, a nice family or quiet place rarely exists. The bad thing is that eating out daily can be quite expensive so brown bagging it to work is the best bet.
