This one has been very interesting for me. When I started writing posts for this blog, it was very un-natural. I had no idea how things should sound, and I was not writing from the right frame of mind. I was worried about too many things. I was doing things like trying to include keywords in all my posts, even if they really didn’t fit. I was trying to stay very neutral so I did not offend anyone. I was not trying to speak to the reader, I was trying to report to them. No humour, nothing personal, almost like I was trying to write a textbook.
I was not using my own voice. I found this made writing posts very difficult. I found I was almost trying to create a seperate voice for this blog. Not that I was trying to hide anything, but I was trying to cater to everyone.
After thinking about it, that does not really make any sence. Not everyone is going to agree with or like what I say and I am ok with that. Writing posts is so much easier if they just flow from me, instead of overthinking them. If I am writing about a topic, the keywords are already there if it is something I like. There is no need to try and stuff other words in.
If I offend you, so what? Tell me so and we can talk about it. There is nothing I like more than a good debate about something, and maybe we can learn from each other. My sence of humour is a little twisted and sometimes clever, but most people with half a brain will get it. My ex was not the smartest pickle in the jar and she never got anything I said so i guess I was in the habit of dumbing everything down 
I guess what I am saying is that you don’t really have to work hard to find your blogging voice. You already have a voice and personality and if you just use what you already naturally have, everything will flow out better. No need to hide behind anything. Just because you stuff feathers up your butt, it doesn’t make you a chicken.
This is a very informative post! I think that people for the most part forget that they have personalities when they write! If most people remembered that little detail, writing would surely become a lot easier.
