Why is it horrible car Thursday you ask? Because on my way to the office today, my car decided to have a fit and spray coolant all over the place. On a country road with no place to pull over. I was only 10 minutes from home, but it took me 2 hours to get back home because I kept having to pull over to cool off the engine.
I know what you are thinking right now. Why did I not call a tow truck? because I am a stubborn idiot and I am not going to let this car beat me. Be sides I knew that the shop by my house is busy and they would not get to it until the end of the day anyway.
Now you would think with a full day at home I would get a lot of writing, or testing, or some sort of work done. You would be wrong. I spent the day playing video games instead.
First up was CastleVania: SOTN. This is a great game on Xbox live. I highly recommend downloading the full version. Tons of play time and it really is a good game.
And what is a good video game session without some on-line COD3? Is there anything better to get rid of stress then pumping bullets into some alliance bastards? Of course there is but that’s what I did. The online play of COD3 can be quite frustrating at times. Like today there was quite a lot of kill lag going on. Basically you empty an entire clip into someone, they run around a bit, kill you, then they die from all the bullets you put in them. But it is also very addicting and can burn hours as good as any other game.
But it is still early, so I’m sure I can get something accomplished so that today is not a total writeoff.
*UPDATE – First, I did not get anything done really, although I did eat some food. But the good news is that my car only cost $150 to fix! The thermostat was stuck closed so the coolant wasn’t moving at all. It is now running nice and cool. Hopefully it will be fine now, at least for a few months.
