I started freaking out a few years ago when my parents said they wouldn’t cosign on a student loan for me. It’s nice to know that the government cares about helping us with our education, and I don’t have to depend on mom and dad to do it for me.

Very true indeed all you need a information like this one which can make your job easier than ever indeed! I never knew that If someone is a traditional student, the federal loans get bottle-necked with only Stafford and Perkins loans available not requiring any credit check. Yes the government must ensure the availability of education possible with ease and comfort. Thanks a lot.

Exactly as chusty said. Governament doesn’t have own money. It’s just money from tax payers… e.g. your parents. Wouldn’t it be easier to leave the money to them instead of expensive redistribution?

That’s some good tips! When I graduated from high-school I didn’t directly enter a full-time post-secondary institution, and so I lost the scholarship fund my parents had been saving for me! Good thing Dairy Queen had an opening…

Hy,

I am a parent and my younger son is a student. Your blog post is inspirational but in my country my son can’t apply for the loan. Thanks for the article though!
