3 months, 3,000 miles. If you observe this rule, you actually will keep your car in better working condition. A car in good condition operates better and burns less gas. It costs less to get the oil changed than it does to fill up a tank, even in compact cars.

In the long run, I think you’re hurting yourself if you wait too long to change the oil and handle other forms of maintenance on your vehicle, which, down the line, could force you to spend money on costly repairs.

Thanks for the refresher course in something we all start out knowing, and then we let it slide to the back burner as the distractions of life ensue.

As it’s time for me to get another car, I especially appreciate the reminder about the insurance comparison test, to make certain you’re getting the best bang for your buck~1

Reviewing your car insurance can be a great way to save money and in many cases even improve coverage. Talk to more than one insurance broker and find more info.

Repairing chips in your windshield is a great idea and is often completely covered by insurance.
