Popular Video: Reporter refuses to do news story on Paris Hilton
Another Paris Hilton video has hit the charts. This time it’s of a news reporter who is refusing to cover Paris’s release from jail as their top news story. She actually grabs a lighter and tries to burn it up! I love the way the other reporters ask to roll the tape just to tease her.
I agree though, I can’t believe the way that entertainment news has found its way into serious news casts. People just can’t get enough of this stuff nowadays.

Personally, I think people can often be pathetic when it comes to all this fame worship.
In the case of Paris Hilton, I just don’t get it.
Here is someone who has absolutely no talent, is dumb as nails, and is only rich due to her family’s accomplishments. Not her own.
Yet she’s all over the news.
I don’t blame the reporter for not wanting to do the story.

It’s truly amazing how the news diet has changed over the years. The networks are like ambulance chasing lawyers, just after the quick buck, regardless of what is truly worthy or having value. The only way to change their behaviour is to change channels (or hope more newscasters take a stand on their own).

I read today that US Weekly will not even mention her in the next issue. I also am sick of hearing about her.

I agree, I am burned out by all of the Paris crap that’s going around. She has saturated the news so much, I wish she’d just go away!
