Sanctuary Webisode 1 - BRIGHTER VERSION
Well, it’s finally happening! People are beginning to create high-quality television shows independant of television networks and broadcasting them online. It’s very exciting to see this begin to happen.
Here is the first episode of a show called Sanctuary that looks really interesting. It’s not as high quality as you would get on the website but it will give you a preview of what the show is all about. You will have to purchase the other Webisodes for around $2 each. Well worth it I think. I will be posting a list of online TV shows and will update it whenever I find a new one.
Description: While tracking a young boy with dangerous powers, Dr. Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping) encounters Will Zimmerman (Robin Dunne), a psychiatric resident who may have what it takes to become her new protege… Downloads Available in Quicktime and WMV

Wow, the show actually looks good and seems to be a quality one! I do wonder though how many people will pay those 2 dollars to watch it while they could see other shows for free on tv? Or even maybe get those episodes for free from a warez site or something like that?

Yeah it’s pretty impressive! I do think it’s a little much for what you get. The episodes are 15 minutes long and don’t really finish the story. I think they should have made them at least 30 mins each.
Still what they have done is pretty amazing. I think we should support this kind of thing so that we will see more of it.

Amanda Tapping’s accent is embarrassing; otherwise, not bad at all.

Hum… being forced to purchase TV shows to watch on your computer. I just don’t see that holding out. Honestly I’m one of the people who would rather be forced to watch a 15sec commercial on the beginning of a video online than pay for it. It’s simple to have another window open and do something else while the commercial runs.

True, they should just put some commercials on it so we can watch it for free.
